A website built to meet the needs of patient associations 


A pre-designed website should allow patient associations to make themselves known, collect donations and animate a community of patients, all at a lower cost. See our approach below

The website of a patient association combines 3 types of needs: editorial, transactional and community.


  • Most of the websites we reviewed offer three types of services

                1. Content pages: on the pathology, the association, some practical advice, care pathways ...

                2. A transaction system: to collect, donate, manage contributions, manage members and supporters of the association ...

                3. The animation of a community: in a reserved space, after identification, patients and their families can talk to each other.


  • For those in charge of patient associations, this site should be easy to use and maintain, well designed and readable. This site must also keep away the head of the patient association from the technical sides, because very often the management of websites is far away from his job and from his primary concerns within the association. The sections of the site must therefore be well established and stable. Finally, you should not start from scratch each time the site needs to be updated or its design revised. And last but not least, due to the often-constrained budget, the site should not cost an arm or a leg to be built-up or maintained while ensuring a suitable level of services for visitors, members and donors.

Our approach offers a ready-made website, easy to develop, upgrade and maintain.


  • Based on a benchmark of a few dozen patient association sites, we have defined a standard organization of services as described in the diagram opposite. We were thus able to develop a standard approach for our site for patient associations, with some standardized designs, sections, and services. So, the design of the pages of the site is already finished, all you must do is insert text content (Word, pages, Google docs). This content is also directly formatted in a canvas which allows the pages to be optimized according to the standards of publication on the internet in force. Photos and media are also pre-positioned, allowing for attractive and rhythmic content. The site is already optimized for referencing in the main search engines Google, Bing…. The site is also connected to social networks: Facebook, twitter ... Finally, two specific features have been added:

                    • An E-Commerce capability to allow the Internet user to donate and to collect and manage membership fees.

                    • A secure space to allow members of the association to have premium content or to converse with each other in a private and secure space
